Sauvignon blanc
The Sauvignon Blanc bottling is one of the first two produced under the Massican label, although it was never intended to be bottled on its own. Dan’s original intention was to blend it into what we now know as Annia, however during blending trials the Sauvignon Blanc from the Juliana Vineyard refused to cooperate with the other wines in the blend and finally was left out. So having this beautiful wine with no home he bottled it as a single varietal and we are so fortunate he did. The wine stands out amongst its peers in California is a rounded and complex Sauvignon Blanc that retains its freshness where many others do not.
